Lots of care needs to be taken with handmade tiles so they don’t appear sloppy.

Look closely and you’ll see these 3/4” thick handmade zellige tiles miter wrap into the window jamb. With tiles varying in size and thickness up to 1/4”, it was important to maintain level lines with the laser. Lots of attention to detail by our man Esteban.

This was our first time using the @22system but another awesome way to minimize the look of countertop receptacles. Lots of coordination but well worth the added effort! What do you think?

Kudos to our clients for finding this creative solution for concealing the countertop outlets. These no-see receptacle mounts from @fittes (formerly aria vent) allow the focus to be on the beauty of the natural soapstone

I don’t share too much personal stuff on here but past few months have been crazy! After a year and a half of building out our backyard, Jordyn and I tied the knot with friends and family. It was unbelievable.

Building a roof over a roof
•
Piggy backing off the “monopoly framing” approach from @risingerbuild on @thebuildshow, this framing establishes our overhangs on the house, and gives an area for 1-1/2” of rigid @rockwoolna insulation, plus a 2” venting space from the soffit to the ridge. This keeps the roof sheathing under the metal roof cooler throughout, minimizing ice dams in the winter, and keeping it cooler in the summer.
•
If you’ve stuck around for all that nerdy building science stuff and are still unsure what‘s going on, it essentially will allow the roof to vent and cool down from the exterior, instead of through the storage space inside your attic. No more scorching hot attic! 👏🏼
